The other day, I was reading Luke Chapter 17.  I read something that got my attention.  I had read it before but this time was different.  Maybe it was because I had been studying Faith that the Holy Spirit wanted to teach me something I had never considered before.  In verse 5 of the 17th chapter of Luke, the disciples say to Jesus "Increase our faith".  They were asking Jesus to increase their faith.  After Jesus was telling them, "If someone trespasses against you seven times in a day and they come and repent, forgive them".  Perhaps they felt what Jesus was telling them to do was more than they had faith for.  Have you ever felt that way?  I know I have!  Jesus' answer to their request was encouraging.  They thought they needed more faith.  Jesus told them they didn't need more faith.  Jesus told them they didn't need much faith at all.  He told them if they had faith as a grain of mustard seed.  That's not much faith at all.  A grain of mustard seed is not big at all.  In fact, Jesus said "It is the least of all the seeds sown in the earth" (Mark 4:31).  Jesus was telling His disciples if they would say to a sycamine tree, "Be plucked up by the root, and be planted in the sea; and it should obey you" (Luke 17:6).  Matthew recorded that Jesus said, "If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain.  Remove hence to yonder place: and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you" (Matthew 17:20),  When we think we need more faith, be encouraged.  Just use the faith you have and nothing shall be impossible to you!
